What's the difference between simultaneous and consecutive interpretation?
Simultaneous interpretation happens in real time, with interpreters working from a booth as the speaker talks — used for large conferences with multiple working languages. Consecutive interpretation happens in segments, with the interpreter speaking after the speaker pauses — better suited to smaller meetings where no booth equipment is needed.
How far in advance should we book?
For simultaneous interpretation with full equipment setup, we recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead, particularly for events requiring multiple languages or large delegate numbers. Telephone and remote interpretation can often be arranged with much shorter notice.
Do you provide equipment if our venue doesn't have any?
Yes. Where a venue doesn’t already have the required audio-visual or interpretation equipment, we source and supply it, with a transparent cost quotation provided before your event.
Can you handle events with more than three languages?
Yes — our simultaneous interpretation systems and interpreter network are built for multilingual events, including SADC and AU meetings that regularly run in four or more working languages simultaneously.
Do you provide interpreters for languages outside your listed core languages?
In many cases, yes — we source additional languages on request depending on availability and event requirements. Contact us with your specific language needs.
Is document confidentiality guaranteed?
Yes. All translation and interpretation work involving sensitive, legal, or classified material is handled under strict confidentiality, consistent with the standards required by our government and UN agency clients.
Do you only work in Tanzania?
No — while we’re based in Dar es Salaam, we operate across Tanzania, Kenya, and the wider East, Central & Southern African region, and have supported events in Angola, DRC, Kenya, Malawi, Botswana, and Ethiopia, among others.
